The powerful closing night performance of I AM FRIDA KAHLO at the Cerritos College Performing Arts Center, written and directed by Cerritos College Spanish professor Froylán Cabuto. A truly unique experience: part diaristic monologue, part contemporary dance ensemble, part art history slide lecture. Next Fall, Froylán will be producing a similar production focused on Gronk's enigmatic Tormenta figure in conjunction with Gronk's solo exhibition at the Cerritos College Art Gallery.

That was a very exciting performance. The impression is still very holistic despite the fact that the performance is divided into parts. Feelings flowed smoothly from one to the other. Fernanda Kelly allowed me to experience the whole gamut of feelings with her, easily and skillfully guided into the inner world of the artist. And there was so much passion and fire in every movement of Beatriz Eugenia Vásquez, in every wave of her hand. So many emotions that sometimes I was forgetting to breathe.
